I will dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
